2021 the 4th International Conference on Big Data Management was originally intended to be held in Shenzhen, China during Feb. 26- Mar. 1, 2021. However, due to the uncertainty and stricter travel restrictions caused by the global pandemic, the safety and well-being of all conference participants is our priority. After evaluating the current COVID-19 situation, the decision has been made to transform the in-person component into a full virtual conference experience.
Online check in and test for all participants was arranged on Feb. 26, 2021. And in the morning of February 27, 2021, Prof. Tianrui Li, Vice Dean of Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, Southwest Jiaotong University, China served as the host to chair the morning plenary session. Firstly, Conference Chair: Prof. Jianqiang Li, Vice Dean of College Computer Science and Software Engineering, Shenzhen University, China made the Welcome Message to welcome all participants to attend the conference. Then another Conference Chair: Prof. Lin Huang, Metropolitan State University of Denver, USA delivered the Opening Remarks to introduce the conference program, data, etc.
Then, Prof. Nikola Kasabov, IEEE Fellow, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand & Ulster University, UK, Prof. Alex X. Liu, IEEE Fellow, Michigan State University, USA, Prof. Shuanghua Yang, IET Fellow, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of Graduate School, Southern University of Science and Technology, China, and Prof. Assaf Schuster, ACM Fellow & IEEE Fellow, Israel Institute of Technology, Israel delivered keynote speeches to share their latest researches. After plenary session, technical sessions went on.
Finally, at the end of conference, Conference Co-Chair: Prof. Shuanghua Yang, Southern University of Science and Technology, China announce the awards and delivered the closing remarks to end the conference.
